We have a better chance.

When I see that smile on your face,

But a flicker of pain in your eyes,

An icy gale passes through me,

And I cannot help but ask myself,

What sadness does that smile conceal?

Of what pain has your mouth never spoken?

How many tears have your eyes yet to shed?

I wish to know, for if you are in pain, so am I.

If you suffer, there's a part in me that suffers too.

To hell with dignity, to hell with pride.

Show me that within you,

That has never seen the light.

I hope to be trustworthy enough,

For you to reveal the darkest part of you,

That you yourself don't know how to handle.

Do I know how to handle it? No I don't.

All I know is that if we're together,

We have a better chance at doing so.
